Specific highlights include ‘The Mint’ where in 1467 Carlingford was granted a charter to mint its own coinage. The ‘Tholsel’ that was once the town gate and the local parliament where town laws were passed and where you can to see the cramped prison cell where criminals were held.
The Carlingford Heritage Centre situated within the old medieval Holy Trinity Church provides a connection into the town's rich layers of local history.
